During a visit to the United States and Canada in 1916, Sargent traveled west to the Rocky Mountains. He visited Glacier Park, Montana, before heading to British Columbia. He spent at least a month painting landscape scenes in Yoho National Park, including this watercolor. Museum: Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, USA.
