Artist's Description

Gourd in wallpaper, stained glass and fabric patterns. Lithograph by Verneuil with pochoir (stencil) handcoloring from Eugene Grasset's “Plants and their Application to Ornament,” Paris, 1897. Grasset (1841-1917) was a Swiss artist whose innovative designs inspired the “art nouveau” movement at the end of the 19th century.
